Our hotel is situated in a recently renovated, beautiful farmhouse situated at the old harbour of Workum. Workum is a very old city, with a lot of leisure and entertainment facilities. The hotel is situated near the city centre and near the IJsselmeer beach / quay. It is possible to rent a boat with us, for a whole day, an afternoon or a whole week.

Situated at a short distance from the IJsselmeer, your stay in our farmhouse offers many possibilities, i.e. a week of complete relaxation, a cultural weekend, or an active cycling-, hiking-, sailing-, surfing or motorboat vacation. In the kitchen breakfast is served, small bites are possible on request. You can enjoy a refreshing drink in the cosy café corner, the "Syls-Inn", situated directly at the harbour.

The Yachtcharter Company is situated in a renovated characteristic farmhouse in the old part of the Frisian city of Workum.

Please be aware that the entire hotel has a non-smoking policy!

Important information

The introduction evening of the International Shanty Festival will be on the 17th of October 2008. For this reason it can be a bit noisier in the hotel than usual.

The view an the area

More info aboat how to come to the hotel from airport by public tranportation and a good description if you arrive by car. Difficult to find.

L'albergo ha l'aspetto di una tradizionale casa olandese dal tetto alto, le camere sono ben arredate, i servizi igienici nuovi e pulitissimi; gode inoltre di un ampio parcheggio e si trova in un paesino molto tranquillo. La colazione è ottima, con tanto di dolci locali. Lo staff è estremamente cordiale e gentile, oltre che disponibile.

Schone kamers, goed ontbijt, pretigge ligging

Jammer genoeg is er geen prettige ruimte om op enig tijdstip even rustig te kunnen zitten / lezen / etc. Het zou aardig zijn als de serre daarvoor beschikbaar zou zijn (deze was nu alleen als ontbijtruimte in gebruik).

Bij warm weer aan het water betekent raam open = muggen naar binnen.
Wellicht is een raamhor een oplossing

De gastvrouw was erg klantvriendelijk, toen we 's morgens voor het ontbijt weg moesten had ze voor ons een ontbijt in de koelkast klaar gezet zodat we het zo mee konden nemen.
