The centrally located and comfortable Hotel Congress was built in 1900 as the Hotel Riva, it already housed the guests of Emperor Franz Joseph at the time.

The Hotel Congress offers the typical austrian cosy atmosphere with the flair of the captial of music and culture.

All our rooms are furnished traditionally and equally they offer all modern comfort.

Because of the equipment and the location of the hotel, it is suitable for business guests as well as for city tourists.

We are a centrally located 3 stars hotel. The Hotel was built in 1900 as the HOTEL RIVA, and has hosted many famous guests. One of the guests was Franz Kafka who met Milena here in 1917 (Letters to Milena).

Tradition and Viennese hospitality personify our family hotel located close to the centre of Vienna and opposite the main railway station. Our attentive staff and our high standard of service will give you an understanding of the friendly and harmonic Viennese atmosphere throughout your stay.

Corridors were uncarpeted, so everybody moving along could be heard.Rooms described as soundproof were not. Shower cubicles very small.

Be careful on parking.If you do not insist on private parking with 12 eur/day as advertised you will pay 22 euros in the same parking. The private parking consist in a complimentary access card to public parking.

The hotel is situated in one of the main districts of the city and is very well connected to the city center via underground; close to the hotel there is every kind of public transport. Good breakfast. Very clean.

Comfort, staff, cleanliness, undergroung station very close to the hotel and at 2 stops distance from the Wien centre/ Stephanplatz

You must replace the photos of the hotel, the ones which we saw on your site are not from the Congress hotel! We choose Congress because of the photos we saw and the price, but the real image of the buiding and surrounding area is quite different one!

Clean room,Clean bathroom, Very good breakfast. comfortable bed.Ony two stops from city centre.

Hotel is situated on a very busy road, so noisy all night long (even after midnight) especially in the summer when you have the window open. It did not stop me from sleeping though. Take some ear plugs.

The room was nice (except the bathroom and the view) and the breakfast was very good.

The view was awful (we had a pile of garbage in front of the window). The bathroom didn't have a shower, and the shower from the bath tub didn't work very well.
