Hotel information

Hostellerie de Hamert is a comfortable oasis in between the banks of the river Maas and the Maasduinen National Park. All our rooms are luxurious and spacious and have luxuries like a Jacuzzi. All balconies have a view of the river or nearby forest. Hiking and cyclingroutes are nearby. The restaurant is classical french with a modern touch. The kitchen works with seasonal products from the region.

Food & beverage

Food and beverage is where it all started with; delicious culinary creations. Our kitchen comes up with a various but above all surprising menu. Season specialties composed with local ingredients.
Asparagus that are being celebrated between mid-april untill the end of june. And what about mushrooms and game in the autumn and winter.
Or the many fish menus that makes the gourmet complete. Add our famour wine cellar to this wonderful menu and you know De Hamert has what it takes.

Area information

De Hamert is ideally located for many activities. The people who enjoy nature can take one of the hiking routes across our hotel. The natural areas Ravenvennen, Bergerheide and the Schuitwaters are just a stone's throw away.
The same goes for Kasteeltuinen Arcen, Holland's most beautiful garden for perennial plants. With the small ferry boat across the river Maas, you will be in the Farm museum "De Locht" in Horsts/Melderslo in just 15 minutes. This farm also houses the national Asparagus and mushroom museum.
Within 25 kilometers you can find; The National war and Resistance museum in Overloon, the Botanic garden and the Missiemuseum in Steyl; The Museum Van Bommel-Van Dam and the Goltziusmuseum in Venlo; Steambeerbrewery Arcen and Jeneverdistillery "De IJsvogel" in Arcen and the Reulenhof in Ottersum.

Just across the border lies the place of pilgrimage Kevelaer. On a half hour drive lies the city centre of Düsseldorf; The Kö.

Quaint and eclectic decor and excellent service. Lovely breakfast in a formal yet peaceful atmosphere.

We did not know the hotel and restaurant catered to an upscale clientele. We walked into the hotel lobby/restuarant entrance/lounge with our casual travelling clothes and received a few chilly glances from the Sunday evening diners. It would not stop me from returning or recommending this hotel.

O serviço de cozinha é excelente

Penso que a climatização é o ponto mais fraco, principalmente no dia da chegada a temperatura do quarto estava por volta dos 10º-12º C. o que apesar do aparelho de ar condicionado, não estava bem resolvido.
