Hotel 't Veerhuis is a small hotel, situated in the quiet area of the river the Waal, opposite the city of Tiel. Near to Hertogenbosch, Nijmegen and Zaltbommel.

The rooms have a view of the river. The hotel has a Candlelight restaurant, big open fire, lounge and a beautiful terrace. There are also meeting rooms for up to 30 people.

The Hotel 't Veerhuis is open for lunch and diner from 12.00.

Hotel 't Veerhuis offers guests a view on the nature of the Waal. There are pleasant sitting areas in the big, English, living room.

The hotel can be recommend to people wanting a long stay.

Food & beverage

While enjoying an aperitif, you can choose between 'a la carte' menu card or a 3 or 4 course dinner special made by our chef.

The restaurant can seat up to 40 people and is open from 12.00 for lunch and from 17.00 for dinner.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 till 10:00.

Room information

All rooms are equiped with shower and/or bath, telephone, TV and alarm clock radio.

The various rooms have 'theme's' all with a different look. For example ' the Rosesuite' (also bride suite), ' le chambre Francais' a Swedisch 'Kömer' and the ' Hollandse Kamer' .

Area information

There is walking and cycling areas around the hotel.

You can also explore by car. Places of interest include:
-Ouwehands Zoo
-The Grebbeberg
-The magnificent centre of Buren
-The gardens of Appeltern
-The Tinfactory Alpen
-Museum in Beneden Leeuwen

You can take the ferry to Tiel and once there walk through the city.

Friendly, family atmosphere which is in stark contrast to the 'plastic' atmosphere of the big chains / groups of hotels. My reasons for choosing the Veerhuis was a mix of location and facilities. The food was magnificent!

Ruime kamer met mooi uitzicht, goed ontbijtbuffet en vriendelijk personeel. De pont naar Tiel vaarde dit weekend langer door ivm de feesten. Goede actie! Gewoonlijk stopt het rond 18.00 uur met varen, is ons verteld.

Hotel is gelegen op een mooie locatie, heeft een goede ambiance, vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, uitstekend diner en een simpel maar prima (smakelijk) ontbijt.

De ligging van het hotel aan het water, helaas kregen wij geen kamer aan die kant.

Over slechte bediening bij maaltijden, TV deed het niet, deurknop naar douche was kapot, dekbedhoes met winkelhaak, te weinig handdoeken (dit laatste is wel opgelost).

Sehr schöne Lage mit wunderbarem Ausblick. Sehr gutes Essen. Sehr freundliches Personal. Die Zimmer mit Blick auf den Fluss waren klein aber gemütlich und funktional ausgestattet.

Das Bett war leider etwas unbequem, was wir mit Rückenverspannungen bezahlten. Die Bäder sind nicht auf dem neuesten Stand der Ausstattung - empfindliche Gemüter würden manche Details unhygienisch finden. TV und WLAN haben nicht funktioniert.

De ligging
Zeer vriendelijk personeel.
Gezellig knus rest.

WC heeft geen afzuiging op de grote kamer en ruikt derhalve muf.
Het balkon was niet schoongemaakt.

Locatie van het hotel is prima.
Door een foute van mij was de kamer voor de verkeerde dag gereserveerd. Dit werd probleemloos hersteld/opgelost
