Area information

A small street leads up the serpentines to Valwigberg offering an overwhelming view over the Mosel valley. There you'll find a chapel, which has been a destination for pilgrimage for centuries.
Due to its central location Valwig is ideal as a starting point for day trips along the Mosel, to Trier, past towns such as Zell, to the monestary of Maria-Lach, for an excursion to the Eiffel and the famous Grand-Prix run.
You can reach the close-by airport of Frankfurt-Hahn by car in 35 minutes - it is thus ideal for passangers of Ryanair flights.

The rooms were large and nice with balconies. The food was excellent. The owner was very friendly and spoke very good English. He gave us tips for seeing the area. The rate I paid was very good for a single room of this quality. I would definitely go back.

Outstanding restaruant setting in a converted wine cellar, the chef runs the hotel and the food was excellent.

Gezellig en vriendelijk familiehotel.

Prijs aan de hoge kant vergeleken met nabijgelegen hotels in andere
stadjes (bv Ernst waar bv 's avonds meer te beleven valt). Valwig
leeft niet 's avonds maar is dan weer een aanrader als je op zoek bent
naar Rust !
