The Barclay hotel is a pleasant and comfortable place to stay for holidaymaker and businessmen.

Being in the centre of the city, we are close to all the main sights, including Tartu University, the Town Hall the "Vanemuine" theatre, as well as banks and shopping centres.

The house was built in 1912 by Kessler and Pohlman and rebuilt into hotel in 1995. From 1944 to 1992 it was the Headquarters of the Red Army.

The building was constructed in 1912 by Kessler and Pohlman and rebuilt into a hotel in 1995. From 1944 to 1992 it was the headquarters of the Red Army.

The hotel has a conference hall with 80 seats, and a meeting room for 10 people.

Food & beverage

The hotel's restaurant offers home-cooked, Estonian cuisine which you can enjoy whilst overlooking Barclay de Tolly Park.

Take pleasure in hospitable service, and a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, while enjoying delicious food and good wine.

The restaurant is open from Sunday to Thursday, from 12:00 to 22:00. From Friday to Saturday it is open from 12:00 to 24:00.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 10:00 from Monday to Friday, and from 08:00 to 11:00 at weekends.

Area information

Vanemuine Theatre (400 m) - A theatre with 3 auditoriums hosting plays, operas, ballets, operettas and musicals.

Tartu University (500 m) - A university with museums and botanical gardens.

Superb location! Very good pillows and bed - got nice sleep.

In Deluxe room hair dryer is broken, no shampoo or any other accessories you would find in 4* hotel. Rooms and towels worn-out. Breakfast - if I don' t go into details - was OK

Advice on how to get to it would have been useful as so many one-way streets and prdestrianised streets made it very difficult to find.

Location in the center, we got junior suite for the price of a double room.

The breakfast was very ordinary, and the hotel in general quite worn.

Hyvä, tilava huone, hyvä sijainti. Koirasta ei veloitettu ylimääräistä. Edullinen.

Aamiainen oli huono. Minibaari vaati erillisen avaimen, mutta vastaanottovirkailija ei maininnut tästä mitään.

Kongressisali ok, huone ok, vastaanotto ok

Illallistarjoilu oli aika heikkotasoinen, aamiaisen taso melko huono. Aamiaissaliin radiosta tuleva pop-musiikki oli häiritsevää, hotellin tyyliin sopisi paremmin hyvin hiljaa kuuluva klassinen musiikki.
