This beautifully restored town house enjoys a perfect location in the historic Lesser Town, 100 metres away from Charles Bridge. Renovated in 2008, it boasts great character with Baroque-style furniture and wooden-beamed ceilings.

The architecturally interesting building dating back to 1857 offers the highest international standards of comfort and convenience, while maintaining the charm of the historical and romantic setting of Mala Strana (Lesser Town). About a 2-minute walk will bring you to the famous Charles Bridge, and in about a 15-minute walk you are at the marvellous Prague castle.

Room information

This beautifully restored town house has 31 non-smoking rooms. All rooms are furnished with Baroque style period furniture and restored paneled roofing beams which give a feeling of uniqueness and comfort. The ceiling between the beams is decorated elaborately with painted foliage and will entertain you as you gaze up from the luxurious beds. The spacious rooms are equipped with all the necessary modern facilities.

Area information

The hotel is situated in Malá Strana (Lesser Town) on the way to Prague Castle, close to all the main historical sights and many galleries. You will find good restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. From the tram stop, only a short walk away, you can get to any part of the city while the Metro from the close by Malostranska station can take you further afield very quickly.

Excellent location in a beautiful part of the city. Very big comfortable room, very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Hot water/ shower facilities were excellent also.

No air conditioning, and very noisy due to refurbishment going on. Tea/ coffee facilities in rooms would be nice.

Convenient location to sites. Large room, great for a family with
small children.

Located on a busy street, and with no ac you need to have the windows
open to stay cool. However, this prevents a sound nights sleep. Poor
bedding and thread bare towels as well. Not a 4 star hotel.

The location is excellent with close proximity to Prague Castle and the Charles Bridge. You can walk to the Old Town Square and most other points of interest. It is am unbelievably beautiful and historic city.

Like many hotels in Europe the Bathtub had high sides making it very difficult to get into and out of when taking a shower. I am a 76 and this would be less of a problem for someone younger. The free breakfast was marginal with an unfriendly attendant. One morning clerk had difficulty with English.

The Charles is situated in a fantastic location and is a beautiful old building. Our room was HUGE and had a view of the street below.

The breakfast could be improved. Also the laundry service is a bit unreliable.

The position of the hotel

Windows are not double glazed and rooms can be noisy with the bar downstairs and taxi's

The staff were very courteous and helpful, its closeness to both Charles bridge and other historic sites made it a very central location to work from. The nearest metro station was 10 mins walk and was easy to use.

The room furniture was basic and sparse.

Location was excellent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Most staff were very nice and hospitable.

Too hot! Had to keep the windows open and then was disturbed by people walking by. 'Restaurant' a bit dull. One receptionist was quite rude.
