A luxury hotel that is famous for its tradition of hospitality for over more than 100 years. Through its unique location on the border of two provinces, very near the banks of the Paterswoldse Lake, you can chose between the peace of the Drentse landscape and the easy bustle of the city of Groningen. There is free use of our new Health Club with swimming pool, sauna and fitness facilities. Solarium (not free) and bike rent available. Tennis courts (open April-October) and parking are free of charge.

The grounds of this hospitable hotel are uniquely situated next to the banks of Lake Paterswolde. In Groningen, which you can reach in 10 minutes, you will find the Groninger Museum, The Martini Tower, a Holland Casino and various cafés and terraces.

Lake Paterswolde offers you various possibilities. You can enjoy the water by exploring the lake by boat or go on a bike ride around the lake. Our reception will provide you with information about boat rentals (sailing boats and motorboats).

If you have a bike and head south you will pass through the beautiful villages of Drenthe, the old windmills and untouched, green landscape. We can provide you with bike routes.

Elke avond muziek in Branche. Alleen de houten tafels zien er zeer bevlekt uit en bij het ontbijt geeft dit geen schone indruk.

Zowel ik als mijn vrienden moesten elke avond bij onze kamers aangekomen weer nieuwe sleutels halen bij de balie. Een beetje vreemd.

rustig gelegen, mooie omgeving.

Ontbijt op zondag werd slecht aangevuld, pas na vragen werd hierop actie ondernomen. Kamers zijn goed en rustig, behalve als de buren gaan douchen, leidingen zitten in de muur, waardoor veel herrie....

Kamer keurig in orde. Geen 2-persoonsbed, maar 2 1-persoons tegen elkaar aan. De afmetingen en kwaliteit van beide bedden maakte dat echter meer dan goed. Personeel en service uitstekend. Ligging is prima voor mensen die iets meer rust zoeken, maar biedt ook een prima uitvalsbasis voor Groningen, dat met de bus op ca. 25 min. ligt. Ontbijt uitstekend en uitgebreid.

Restaurant was matig, niet erg gezellig en de kwaliteit van de maaltijd ook niet geweldig.

Die Küche ist hervorragend. Der Grundstandard ist alt, aber gut. Die Health Area
funktioniert perfekt.

Das Hotel ist schlecht geführt. In Bar und Restaurant gibt es sehr aufmerksame, aber auch sehr nachlässige Mitarbeiter.In den Zimmern wird oft nicht gesäubert
(Krümle von Keksen bleiben einfach tagelang liegen). Einmal ging sogar eine
Reinigungskraft auf die Toilette und zog nicht ab.
Nachteilig ist auch, dass in Halle, Gängen und Restaurant unübersehbar ein
überholter Einrichtungsstandard herrscht. Die klitzekleinen Bilder von Lebensmitteln im größeren Rahmen auf den Fluren sind ein Witz, den man sonst nur bei knauserigen schlecht gehenden Hotels findet.
Das Hotel hat einen sehr erhaltenswerten großen Rahmen und eine wunderbare Lage in einem schönen Park in großer Nähe zur attraktiven Stadt Groningen und in einer wunderbaren ländlichen Region. Ihm fehlt aber die
Großzügigkeit in der Einrichtung, die es verdient hat.
Gewinnen würde das Hotel mit besseren Bildern, einigen schönen antiken
(nicht unbedingt teuren) Einrichtungsgegenständen und neuen Sesseln im
Kaminraum. Diealten sind auf.
