Superior service from staff and their willingness to accommodate special
requests. Dining facilities were superb and food was of gourmet quality:
the restaurant alone was worth the stay. Although we chose to dine in
the "bar," and not the restaurant, the service was every bit as
excellent as that in the restaurant: prompt and friendly. Breakfast was
equally excellent.

We stayed during a relatively cool spell in the summer and were
comfortable in our second floor room, although we suspect that if it had
been hot, the room might have been very hot also (no air conditioning as
in many Dutch hotels).

The mattress/pillow in the room were wonderful ! I had the best rest of my holiday at this peaceful hotel. A lovely location.

Remote control on TV did not work. Bar menu was limited.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and staff are excellent. The existence of a swimming pool and a sauna is a wonderful addition, as is the "in-house" restaurant, Artusi.

Setting was wonderful. A bit run down, I guess it was wonderful in a bygone era.

I think it has seen better days; no fridge / minibar or tea/coffee making facilities. Usual for 4-Star and above, so falls short in this respect.

High level of luxury, great value for money. Outstanding breakfast buffet (the best we encountered in Europe) and innovative cuisine even in the more econmical dinner menus. We would definitely seek out hotels in this chain if we visit Holland again.

the friendly atmosphere and of course the hotel is beautifully located.

there is always an extra 17,50 euro if you ask for double room instead of twin bedded; should be mentioned on the site.

staff very friendly and helpful - rooms clean and hotel quiet

it wasn't a great inconvenience but the room service menus were all in dutch - an English translation was provided by the reception staff

I am disabled and it was not obvious if there was any disabled car parking. As a result I had to park in the main car park which meant a long and uncomfortable walk.
