Gilbert & George: Major Exhibition   (mo-do,so, 10:00-18:00 & fr,sa, 10:00-22:00)

This long-awaited exhibition is the largest ever to explore the remarkable art of Gilbert & George.
Gilbert & George have created art together since meeting at St Martin's School of Art in 1967. Their impact on the international art world was immediate, radical and subversive with the declaration that sculpture need not be confined to the production of three-dimensional objects and that their own lives could be classed as ?living sculptures?.


Leon Kossoff: Drawing from Painting   (mo,di,do-so, 10:00-18:00 & mi, 10:00-21:00)

The National Gallery   (London)
In 1936, at the age of ten, Leon Kossoff found his way from Hackney to the steps of the National Gallery. At first, never having seen a painting before, he was awestruck. Later, he said, 'It seemed as though all the streets of London led there.'
The paintings were removed during the war, though there were momentary sightings of works which, together with the concerts of Myra Hess, brought comfort to the people of war-torn London.
