This is a great choice for anyone not wishing to be reliant on a car. There is a bus stop just 300 metres from Caracóis with regular, inexpensive, services to nearby Lagos and Praia da Luz. This magnificent manor house which dates from the 19th century was completely renovated and tastefully enlarged in 2004. It has been converted into a design country house with many lovely details in the decoration. The establishment combines elegance and modern interiors with the historical architectural style on a wonderful location. Casa Velha has opened its doors in April 2001 and is situated close to the Porto de Mós beach in Lagos. The hotel is a small touristic complex of 6 rooms and 2 one-bedroom apartments. Casa Velhas location could not be any better. On a high spot at the Porto de Mós beach, it offers magnificent views over the ocean, the beach and all of the coast up to the tip if Sagres.
