Hotel "De Gouden Klok" is located in the center of Holwerd. Our restaurant is ideal to enjoy the Dutch cuisine, and our bar or terrace is perfect to have a drink.
Next to the hotel there is a parking, and we have a bike shed.

There are several routes around the hotel for walking as well as for cycling. You could also go on a trip to the islands, Ameland and/or Schiermonnikoog. We also have documentation for musea, gardens etc.

The hotel is located just 3km from the departing place to the Dutch island Ameland.

We would like to welcome you to hotel "De Gouden Klok".

Maximum capacity of total guests in a room is 4.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Our rooms have an en suite bathroom and are equipped with all common facilities.

Area information

There are a lot of hiking and biking trips possible in this beautiful area that changes every season of the year. It is possible to rent a bike at the hotel.

The ferry to the island Ameland is 3 km from the hotel. A trip to the island Schiermonnikoog or Dokkum (Friesland) is also possible.

Elke dag schone handdoeken en bed opgemaakt.

Er loopt een trap naar kamers 5+6 2e verd., deze trap loopt door kamer 4 waar wij sliepen, je komt moeilijk in slaap of wordt vroeg wakker.

we hebben slechts een overnachting gehad; dus weinig over te zeggen. Het ontbijt was eenvoudig, maar wel goed.

De bedden waren weinig tot zeer weinig comfortabel; slecht geslapen.

Ik heb in honderden hotels gezeten, maar het was voor het eerst in mijn leven, dat ik na het ontbijt verzocht werd de eetzaal te verlaten, omdat het al 10.15 uur was en ontbijten mocht ik maar tot 10.00 uur!
