HOTEL GERARDUSHOEVE distinguishes itself by its unique position, right in the middle of the Plateau of Heijenrath –215 meters above Normal Amsterdam Level- within a stillness-area, which is proved as a nature reserve.
This height turns out to be one big nature reserve in the middle of the little villages Epen, Slenaken and Gulpen.
That’s why you are able to enjoy a magnificent sight over the extensive Gulp Valley from your room.
Our hotel is situated in the so called Euregio, in the middle of the southern triangle Maastricht-Luik-Aachen, which offers you lots of possibilities to relax or participate in culture: from shopping to going for a walk, from going out to sleeping in, or visit a museum or theatre, in brief for everyone something one likes.

On four minutes per car distance, at the highest point of the Mergellandroute you will find our
PANORAMA-RESTAURANT GERARDUSHOEVE.
Its position makes our restaurant that special, because it has a magnificent, panoramic view ont the foothills of the Belgium Ardennes and the German Eifel too.
Moreover the natural traditional hospitality and the versatile menu, which manages to adjust quality and taste, provide the character of our restaurant.

All children under 2 years are charged EUR 16.00 per night and person for cots.

All older children or adults are charged EUR 21.50 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Room information

Our very spacious hotel rooms are modern and equipped with standard facilities including a separate living room with TV. The rooms also offer a private balcony or terrace to relax on.

The Junior Suites are the crème de la crème, offering a living room (32 m2) and a separate toilet and a wash basin. All day long you can enjoy the sun on the south-facing balcony as well as the panoramic view. The stairs bring you to the first floor where 2 bedrooms (20 m2) and the bathroom are located. For those who like a spacious and peaceful area, these suites are ideal. They are also suitable for 4 people or parents with children.

Enjoy the good life in the hills of Limburg.

The south of Limburg is the area of boundless opportunities and has something to offer everyone. Everything is possible - from shopping and hiking to relaxing on a terrace and making long tours by bike along the Meuse or through the hills. In the hills you will find a splendid scenery which is ideal for hikers. This vast countryside with its unpaved footpaths will lead you along soft yellow marl caves, meandering small rivers, (corn) fields and pastures.

Every walking tour will offer you a pleasant view, hamlets and nice village centres. Epen/Heijenrath is situated in the centre of the hills and is therefore a perfect starting point for trips. Maastricht, Aachen, Liège, Tongeren and Hasselt have nice shops, many activities on a cultural level, antique markets and cosy terraces at a mere 10 to 20 minutes by car from the hotel. The museums, churches and exhibitions represent different disciplines, so there will be something for everyone.

Peace and quiet. The location was such that apart from the occassional a passing car it was a relaxing place to stay.

The fact that you had to drive to the Hotel Restaurant.

Grosszügige Zimmer, sehr schöne Lage, schöne Aussicht.

Etwas ringhörig. Kein Abendessen im Hotel sondern im 2 Kilometer entfernten (zum Hotel gehörenden) Restaurant. Jedoch sehr schönes Restaurant. Vorallem älteres Pubilkum.

Persoonlijke benadering

Het ontbijt was niet echt heel uitgebreid (op de tweede dag waren zaken op terwijl die dag er juist langer en later ontbeten kon worden) en onze kamer lag aan een weg (die niet druk zou zijn) maar waar tot half drie in de nacht landbouwverkeer voorbij raasde.

dienstverlening personeel,kwaliteit kamer,ligging hotel

voortaan vooraf duidelijk maken dat het restaurant ver (half uur lopen) van het hotel af ligt.(was voor ons met auto geen bezwaar) Er was wel een waterkoker en kopjes,maar geen thee en koffieextract op de kamer.Dit (evt.tegen vergoeding )beschikbaar stellen.

prachtige ligging, zeer vriendelijk personeel, zeer ruime en nette kamers.

wel een hoog 65+ bezetting, maar je ziet ze alleen tijdens het ontbijt, voor de rest ben je toch weg.

Het bourgondisch Limburgs karakter in faciliteiten en personeel: service, persoonlijke bediening en genieten staan centraal in dit hotel / restaurant.

Een verassing was dat hotel en restaurant op gescheiden plaatsen gesitueerd waren.

Rust; vriendelijk personeel; mooi gelegen, fraai uitzicht

Bar al om 22.30 uur dicht, had wel een uurtje langer gemogen. Aan de andere kant zéér behulpzaam en flesje bier voor op de kamer geregeld.
