Hotel Die Raeckse is located in the city centre of Haarlem, within walking distance of the train station and the Grote Market.

The hotel has everything to make your stay a pleasurable one: experience the comfort and hospitality of the rooms with en suite bathrooms and enjoy an excellent buffet in the spacious and atmospheric cafe. Good parking facilities are available near the hotel (a one minute walk away), making it convenient if you are driving.

In the direct area of the hotel there are many places of special interest to be found, such as museums, beaches (a short train or car journey away) and shopping streets. Bicycle rental stores are nearby, providing you with a convenient way of exploring the surrounding area.

Hotel information

Hotel Die Raeckse is situated in the centre of Haarlem, just in opposit of the big centreparking the "Raaks", which is 24 hours open. The hotel comprises 21 comfortable and clean rooms, devided in singles, doubles/twins, triples and quadruple rooms.
All rooms have shower/bath, toilet, television and telephone.
The breakfastbuffet is situated in our homely cafe of the hotel.
The cafe has a very nice "Old Dutch" furnishing.
On request you can have you lunch or dinner in our Cafe or Brasserie.

Food & beverage

On request we can make you a packed lunch instead of breakfast. Within walking distance of the hotel you will find many nice restaurants for both lunch and dinner. For any questions about places to eat please inform our reception, who will be pleased to help you.

Room information

All our rooms are recently renovated and have shower or/bath, toilet, colour television and telephone with a direct outside line.
The rooms are situated on the 1st and 2nd floor of the hotel.
You can reach the rooms by the staircases (not very steep)

Area information

The city of Haarlem is more than 750 years old and is very centrally located near the city of Amterdam and the beachresorts Bloemendaal and Zandvoort. Haarlem is known as one of the best shopping city and on walkingdistance of our hotel you will find the Frans Hals Museum and Teylers Museum (oldest museum of Holland).For the walker of cyclist there are many beautiful routes towards nature reserves.

centrally located

it felt a bit confining and the feeling of being watched and/or monitored while having breakfast; the construction across the str. was not a site to see and hear but i am certain that that is a short term problem

The hotel is in a central position, ideal to take a stroll in the city centre. My room was spacious and clean enaugh.

Breakfast to upgrade. No lift. Stairs dirty narrow and dangerous. At night no one at reception. Finally i reccomend this hotel to young people only spending a weekend 2-3 days in the city.

We liked its location and the fact that each member of our family of 4 was able to sleep in a bed, all in the same room.

Decoration and ambiance is minimal.

We didn't expect an American style hotel so we were able to enjoy the unique experience of a midrange European hotel that was very clean and friendly.The steep stairs added to the quaintness and were actually fun. The included breakfast was very good.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the parking was free, which was great. The hotel was clean, however it has steep stairs and no lift, so it may be difficult for elder people.

Everything was great. Easy access to Amsterdam and points of interest in Haarlem.

Guests who are not physically able might be warned that stairs are narrow and steep.

The breakfast was good and the hotel cosy. Pretty comfortable beds.

It smelled a bit of old smoke in the room, even though it was a non smoking room but I guess that is pretty common in Holland.
