This friendly family hotel, the oldest and finest in Bakkum, is located in the centre of the old village and within walking distance of the picturesque dunes and coast.

With both car and bicycle rentals available, day trips begin at the front door. Visit the charming city of Alkmaar, famous for its cheese market, or set out for exciting Amsterdam – also easily reached by train.

The hotel has a variety of comfortable rooms and an excellent a la carte restaurant. Whether you are on vacation or a business trip, you will feel at home at Hotel Borst.

Our French style restaurant is open from Friday to Tuesday.

We have four kind of rooms:
2 Single rooms without shower
4 Double rooms without shower
12 Double rooms with shower and toilet
2 Apartments with shower, toilet, kitchenette and balcony

All the rooms have twin beds, and are equipped with modern facilities.
The 10 new rooms are modern and stylishly decorated.
Please note, all rooms are non-smoking.

Area information

With the North Sea coast and endless dunes a mere 3km away, nature enthusiasts can cycle and walk for hours, enjoying the peace and beauty. The sandy beach stretches for as far as the eye can see and is a wonderful place to relax. Looking for action? Try your hand at sailing.
Bakkum is close to a number of major cities and tourist attractions in North Holland. Alkmaar, Haarlem, and Amsterdam are all within 35 km. For a smaller scale traditional ambiance, visit towns such as Edam, Volendam and Monnickendam, quaintly located on the IJsselmeer.

Het hotel is zeer proper. De kamers (in het nieuwe gebouw) bieden het nodige comfort (tv, douche, wc) en zijn zeer proper. Bij mooi weer kan men alle dagen op het terras genieten van een drankje tot 01u00.

men zou aan de gasten ietwat meer uitleg mogen verschaffen over de inwendige dienst van het hotel en over de mogelijkheden van openbaar vervoer in de nabijheid van het hotel. Ook het verhuren van fietsen (het nodige aantal voorzien voor alle gasten in het hotel) zou een pluspunt kunnen zijn.

gezellig famliehotel zonder pretenties

schoonmaken (de oranjesnippers die vrijdagavond op de gang lagen waren er maandagmorgen nog, vuile koffiekopjes op de kamer niet vervangen, kamer niet gestoft e.d., alleen bedden rechtgelegd.

Gemoedelijk, gezellig hotel.

internet werkte niet, en er was niemand die dit aan wist te sluiten. Terwijl dit de belangrijkste reden was voor mij om voor dit hotel te kiezen.

Wij zaten in het nieuwe gedeelte van het Hotel. De kamers zijn netjes en schoon. Eindelijk weer eens een normale douche in een hotel kamer. Parkeren kan bij het hotel en is gratis.

Kamers vind ik wat aan de pijs omdat het exclusief ontbijt is. Het ontbijt is 8 euro/persoon. Maar gelukkig hebben ze een warme bakker als goede buur.
