The Amaryl City-Hotel is situated just a few minutes' walk from Kurfürstendamm. All of the major sights and attractions can be reached on foot, including the Gedächtniskirche (memorial church), the Europa-Centre, the Theater am Kurfürstendamm (including the comedy theater) and the world-renowned Berlin Zoo.

The Amaryl City-Hotel was built at the turn of the century, and is a typical Berlin hotel situated close to the city's business, shopping and entertainment centers.

Location is great; very clean; free Wi-Fi.

You have to ask for the TV remote control, but you don't know this until you get to your room. Towels are paper-thin. Check-in area could use some more charm.

The staff were very friendly and looked after us well. The breakfast buffet had a good choice and always plenty to eat. The bar was very useful and very well frequented. The only thing I would say is I believe the hotel describes this as a cafe bar which indicates you could get food at times other than breakfast which I don't think was the case . This was not a problem for us but could be for othe

A very minor point but the premises eotrher side are boarded up which makes it look a bit scruffy.

The hotel was close to the subway and the zoo.

The hotel staff was extremely rude (the old Man) when we arrived. The younger man was much more willing to explain their expectations but still did not compensate for the rude old man. Their policy of payment in cash at sign-in is rediculous. If I had realized this up front I would not have stayed there. I expect much higher service from a hotel charging 225 Euro/night.

That hotel is in city center.

It was not very good, hotel is old and not very good for three star hotel, there was not soaps and shampoo, so I do not talk about other services...

The rooms were big and warm....

The room prices varied for the few nights I was there, I paid 146.OO euro for three of the nights and I do not think it was worth that money. For that price I would expect coffee making facilities in the room. There was no remote for the T.V.
