If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 60 percent of all nights will be charged.

If cancelled up to 1 day before date of arrival, 85 percent of all nights will be charged.

If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Children and extra beds

All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.

All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for cots.

All older children or adults are charged EUR 15.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

In the comfortable restaurant with large terrace a varied breakfast buffet is available between 07:00 and 10:30 each morning.

For lunch and diner the hotel offers a wide selection of national and international dishes. They also serve seasonal dishes like asparagus in spring, mussels in summer and game in autumn and winter. Furthermore, they prepare special meals for vegetarian, senior citizens and junior guests.

Area information

Besides a wide variety in shops you will find many interesting historical buildings and places in the city centre.

If you come in search of tranquillity then you will find what you are looking for in De Hoge Veluwe National Park. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature by taking a bicycle ride or having a nice long walk through forests, heath lands and sand drifts.

The city centre’s cultural amenities are well worth a visit. These include Musis Sacrum theatre and its resident Gelderland Orchestra. The Burgerweeshuis historical museum has a number of magnificent period décor rooms and houses an impressive collection of historic paintings and archaeological finds.

A number of popular attractions, such as Burgers’ Zoo, The Dutch Open Air Museum with its many restored historic buildings and the Kröller Müller museum are situated close to Van der Valk Hotel Arnhem. In the vicinity you will also find a number of castles and fortresses dating back to the 13th, 14th and 17th centuries.

Location, atmosphere, high quality furnishing & food.

Cost breakfast was hidden extra not inclusive this was not made clear. I was not able to work out id basic TV viewing ( I.e not inclusive of Internet & adult channel ) was infact free or 15 euros additional - so opted to not use TV

The green surroundings

Staff in the restaurant was not that professional as I would expect as well as admitting dogs in the restaurant

The hotel was absolutely great as were the staff. My only complaint was the fact that we specifically asked for a smoking room and at 2:00 in the morning when we returned we realized it was not. Also we were put at the end of the hallway and all night we could people talking which did tend to wake us up.
Even though I thought the hotel, facilities, and staff were very good, I'm not so sure I would reccommend it to others.

There are no Tea or Coffee facilaties, Mini Bar or Fridge in the Rooms, and the breakfast layout is a bit haphazard.

rooms were very nice

restaurant staff were very poor in service. while parking was available we were unable to enter the building from these parking places. access to the building was very poor in design.

Could not fault the room - spacious, clean, fittings all in good order and to a very high standard. Light bulb changed immediately without prompting. Food good value. Service at dinner good. Hotel in extremely convenient location. Staff friendly and helpful.

Bit slow in replenishing the breakfast food as it was consumed and no iron in the bedroom but these are small issues in relation to the whole - the hotel is well run and the facilities are of a very high standard and can be safely recommended to anyone. Two suggestions: the hotel could provide a few more tourist booklets with information for the benefit of touring guests and also could segregate smokers from non-smokers more effectively in the dining room.

Het ontbijt is goed.

De kamer was niet schoon, de matrassen heel slecht. Ook heel warm in de kamer. Kortom de eerste nacht niet geslapen. Na klagen andere kamer gekregen, deze was goed.

On a eu une meilleure chambre que reservee car l'hotel etait complet. La
chambre etait refaite et etait tres confortable. Le petit-dejeuner etait
