The Art Gallery Hotel is a small, cosy hotel, opposite of the Rijksmuseum, and near the Museumplein and the Leidseplein.

The hotel is located in a picturesque building, and has a magnificent view on the Rijksmuseum. The Art Gallery Hotel is re-furbished in 1999. The central position of the hotel is quiet though.

Only the good location and almost sympathy of the staff towards the guests

Our room was in the basement down a neck breaking staircase, it was tiny, we could not move around trying to arrange our suitcase contents, very worn furniture, the plaster came off the walls, the bedding had hair on it, the bathroom was not inviting we were contemplating whether to take a shower at all, the bed wasright next to the breakfast room noisy mornings! Another guest had insects in bed!!

The Staff were very helpfull, the hotel was plesent enough, though everywhere in Amsterdam seemed very overpriced. The room was as described.

Room was same size as an average toilet. Price was very high for small room. The bed had to be very small to fit in the room. No tea or coffee making facility. Toilets dirty. Stairs way to steep for suitcase

The bed was comfortable. Big clean shower room, lots of hot water. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.

The view. Windows broken. Double bed was two singles pushed together. Room lighting dim - important as natural light is lacking. Room needed decorating. lace curtains were a bit shabby.

Close to rijks museum etc, some staff really good and help full. Free breakfast was good

Very small rooms, poor maintance.

I did not like the fact that my bed was dirty blanket and sheets had stains on them. this is my third time to amsterdam and this was the worst hotel I stayed at and the most expensive.

The proximity of the hotel to attractions was excellent. Staff was friendly and breakfast had a good selection.

Cleanliness of the rooms left a little to be desired. Pipes a little noisy (a problem if you are a light sleeper ... but if you did like me and was very busy during the day and exhausted in the evening - not a problem).
