Beautiful situation located on a canal. Rooms to the canal have a great view but can be hot in summer. Rooms to the garden side are quiet. Roomsizes are very different but nice and functional. Prices are reasonable compared to the pretty high price-level of Amsterdam hotels. Very nice and helpful staff. Most points of interest are to reach by walking. The breakfast is not longer included in the room-rate. Too expensive. |

Location & canal view room Inconsistent replenishment of toiletry supplies, staff didn't replace used cups, the blanket/comforter had a weird smell so we had to request a change the next day |

la posición del hotel es optima, muy centrica pero en una calle alejada de los turistas.El personal del hotel es muy amable. la vista de las habitaciones al canal es encantadora. la habitación es pequeñisima (no se podia habrir el armario sin mover el sillon!!), con muebles rotos (la puerta del baño tanbien estaba rota), el baño asquerosamente obsoleto, la cama muy muy muy incomoda, asi como el cojin.en fin, el hotel necesita un arreglo!!! |

Location was fantastic, great little basement bar and restaurant on the end of the street has great wait staff. Only in town for one night, great location to walk through Amsterdam. Nice big bed, small but efficient bathroom and flat-screen television was nice. Front desk manager was very helpful with public transportation, spoke excellent English, and was attentive at both midnight and 6 am. Whilst there was some loud noise from street traffic due to Turkey's win in Euro 2008, the view from the giant windows of the canal was fantastic. The bathroom had a bit of a funky smell, but it certainly seemed clean enough and could be due to the building's age of 300+ years. |

Location The decorating could be updated and the bathroom could be updated - rusty radiator etc. The carpet had not been hoovered as there was broken biscuit just slightly under the bed that was not hoovered either on Saturday or Sunday. |

convenient to places to go. Walked a lot, train and buses available, as well as restaurants. Nice selection. Rooms were small, but ok for a large city. We stayed in a room, that 2 rooms and one bath. Great for two single people. |

For a 50 euro per night room, Hampshire Inn is doing quite well. Their hotel is so nice by a river side and facing a small garden. And the location is very good and it's very close to Dam square or any other interest places. The house is a bit small and sometime we can hear the footsteps of the upper floor maybe because it's an old building. |
