This is an excellent hotel! The location is superb, and both staff and facilities very good indeed. I would definitely prefer to stay here when next in Amsterdam. |

The location of the hotel I telephoned to confirm an early check-in was available at 9 pm the evening before my arrival, yet the staff at the front desk gave me a particularly difficult time when I checked in, even saying, "This is not the Dutch way". She said that the hotel was fully booked the night before and I should not have expected an early check in, which I should have been advised of when I called. |

A very pleasant boutique hotel, ideal for a short stay. Very comfortable room, with nice new bathroom. Location on the Herengracht is ideal for the centre of Amsterdam, especially if you want to explore the old canalside streets on foot. Being so close to the street, be prepared for some noise outside at night. |

Location and the furniture in the room The bed - too soft- and the silly fact that they charged us 5.30 Euros on the credit card for drinks in the minibar we never had, even after we had told them that we never opened it. Bad taste and poor management. We paid 250 euros per night.... |

We had a beautiful room at the top of the house. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. We treated ourselves to breakfast in the hotel which although not cheap was well worth it. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is very well situated and within walking distance of most of the sights. Would definitely stay at the Ambassade again. It would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room. |
