Located right in the heart of Amsterdam, this 3-star hotel offers guests well-furnished, modern rooms within easy walking distance of many of the city's most popular tourist attractions.

Amsterdam's picturesque canals are within a stone's throw of the hotel; the hotel's hireable boardroom and some 'superior' rooms even boast views of the famous 'Singel' canal. The Anne Frank House, Flower Market and Royal Palace are also very nearby.

Tram and bus stops in front of the hotel provide travellers with the opportunity to easily explore the wider city and travel directly to the airport.

Hotel information

Although the Art Deco exterior of the building dates from the 1920s the hotel's furnishings and facilities are thoroughly modern. In the hotel's boardroom between 2 and 10 guests can take advantage of the hotel's business services.

Outside, the 'winter garden' offers space for a party or reception of up to 100 people, or simply a relaxing cup of coffee.

Food & beverage

The hotel houses its own restaurant and bar "Gerzonis", where you can enjoy Italian cuisine in a Mediterranean atmosphere. Opening Hours: 11:00 to 22:00.

Across the street from the NH City Centre lies the world famous restaurant "d'Vijff Vlieghen" ("The Five Flies"), first opened in 1939 and now owned by the NH hotel chain. The restaurant is made up of nine charming, interconnected dining rooms, in five authentic 17th century houses. D'Vijf Vlieghen offers the best in New Dutch Cuisine, Holland's culinary traditions blended with today's tastes. The restaurant also offers a range of over 150 traditional gins and liqueurs. Just contact reception to make a reservation.

All rooms have fresh, contemporary decor and wooden floors, complimented with modern furnishings.

Area information

Dam Square (0.4 km) - see some of Amsterdam's most recognisable buildings, including the Royal Palace and the National Monument.

Westerkerk (0.6 km) - search for the unmarked grave where the Dutch painter Rembrandt is buried.

Anne Frank House (0.7 km) - visit the museum dedicated to the wartime Jewish diarist.

It was expensive, but then I know Amsterdam has higher cost levels, so I guess its overall okay

Internet access far too expensive. Would not stay there again for that reason. Should be included at no charge.

The hotel was in a great location. The pillows in the room were very comfortable and the finishing touchs in the bathroom with the Toiletries was really nice.

The noise of the cleaners in the morning was poor. they would be cleaning rooms at 8.30am and making as much noise as possible. This is not fair on guest that are still there. Sound proofing was not to good either.

There was nothing outstanding about the hotel. It was a good clean place to stay. It was within a short distance of the tram stop.

I thought the rate was rather high for this facility.

Very good location. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Great to still have tea and coffee making facitlities in the room. Great toiletries in the bathroom!

The rooms are quite small, and window is tiny and very high up, so no view out of the room:( No milk/creamer for tea in the room.

The hotel has elevators which is not easy to find in Amsterdam. Staff was very kind and helpful

Breakfast is much too expensive to take it, but there is an excelent bakery on the hotel corner with fresh sendwitches, sweets and fruit drinks.
