Hotel Bellington is a hotel with an official 2-star rating. The hotel is situated in the museum quarter of Amsterdam in probably the fanciest shopping street of Holland, close to the main museums :
- The Rijks museum
- The Van Gogh museum

The Vondelpark is just on the end of the street.
The Leidseplein and the Casino are just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel.
You can easily reach the hotel. From Central Station you can take Tram no. 2 or 5 - stop Hobbemastraat.

Children and extra beds

All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.

All children under 2 years are charged EUR 12.00 per night and person for cots.

All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

Supplements will not be calculated automatically in the total costs and have to be paid separately in the hotel.

Hotel information

The Leidseplein and the Casino are just at the end of the street. Hotel Bellington is easily accessible: from the Central Station, take streetcar 2 or 5, stop Hobbemastraat.

Payment is made upon arrival.
For payments with credit card there would be an extra charge of 5%.
For cash payments, it's just the normal rate.

Check-in is not possible after 23:00 except on prior arrangement with the hotel.

Your room is guaranteed until 18:00. Please inform the hotel if you are going to check-in after 18:00, otherwise your room will not be guaranteed when you arrive.

Area information

The hotel is located in a green part of the city centre, in the beautiful surroundings of the Museumsquare. The central station is easy to reach by tram in 15 minutes. Most of the major tourist attractions, such as the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum, the Vondelpark, Leidsesquare, famous Amsterdam canals, Albert Cuyp market and Concertgebouw, are within walking distance.

I can only say about the double deluxe room in which we stayed in. The room was pretty clean and better than I expected. I would certainly recommend the double deluxe room at bellington.

The fact that it had a safe in our room and an ensuite bathroom.

When I arrived at the hotel there was no tea or coffee in the room, I tried knocking on the receptions door but it was unattended and stayed that way for the rest of the evening. The room was shabby, holes in the doors lots of cracks in the bathroom ect. When I got hold of reception the next morning they asked me to wait a further couple of hours for tea/coffee.

Staff were very helpful and polite. Breakfast was also lovely.

The number and angle of stairs both to reception and to rooms were extremely challenging, and should be made very clear to prospective parties before agreeing to stay with you. I would recommend this lodging, but with clear information about the stairs!

breakfast was ok, the staff was nice,

first we ordered a room for a couple with double bad, the room was so tiny, that we couldent move in it, the bad was for 1.5 persons, the mattres was bad, the bathroom very small & you could not go to toilet, unless you open the door.after speaking with the hotel staff, they told us that after 2 days, they will have a room for 4 persons that we can have it. that room was ok (but no double bads)

It was well placed for museums and within easy access of trams. The staff were very helpful.

The stairs up to the rooms were very steep. the breakfast room and the rooms were in separate buildings.

The hotel was in a nice area and easy to get around the city. The room was adequate and well-priced.

The hotel was minimally equipped so someone looking for a very simple place to stay will be happy. The stairs are very difficult with luggage but are just fine for walking normal. The shower curtain is grungy and seems like it would be a cheap enough item that they would replace more regularly. The hotel is really best for singles or budget travelers -- not the most romantic place for couples
