Very old world and full of personality. Staff was fantastic and very helpful. Food is wonderful, not run of the mill hotel menu. Hotel is on quiet canal, although right downtown. Easy to walk around to get anywhere. |

very close to centre, situated right on the canal which was really nice.staff were very friendly and helpful. the spiral stairs to the rooms were too narrow and steep. there is a lift, but getting to our room we still had to cross a landing and go up and down 3 small sets of stairs .this would not be suitable for the elderly |

The hotel Ambassade was clean and cozy. The location was fantastic between the new and the old areas of Amsterdam. Stayed on the best canal and could walk everywhere. Great Time! |

It's in a great location on a fairly quiet street next to a canal. It's also really easy to get to the main train station. The staff were extremely helpful. Bathrooms were nice, and air conditioning was much appreciated. I would definitely stay there again. My room was on the ground floor and I could hear traffic and people talking outside. But since it was a quiet street, this didn't matter too much. I also didn't like that we couldn't keep our keys. Since the staff are so helpful, they spend a fair amount of time with each customer, and therefore you sometimes have to wait in line for a while. |
