Tea & coffee in room, clean rooms, hot water, helpful reception

Heating did not seem to be working properly : we were expecting the
airport shuttle to be included - it is included from the airport only
(doubtless it says so in the small print) : breakfast not good value.

Close to Schiphol Airport; hotel was near very good restraunts; good places to walk along canals. Shuttle service to airport was good.

This is a badly managed hotel. One receives different answers to the same questions depending on which staff member one talks to. This hotel is also used as a dispatch point for their shuttle bus to Schiphol airport for guests as well as non-guests. The latter pay for parking their car at the hotel during their absence. This, at the expense of the paying guests, whose sleeps is interrupted continuously by people arriving and departing during all hous of the night, car doors slamming, loud conversations and starting of the shuttle bus. All this RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW OF THE ROOMS WE OCCUPIED. The shuttle bus service was very erratic and thus not dependable. To add to our problems: We had reserved a room for the night prior to our return to the US. When we arrived at Centraal Station in Amsterdam we were told by the driver of the taxi service which we had prearranged to pick us u(again due to unreliable shuttle service from theChariot) that our hotel reservations at the Chariot had been cancelled and we were booked at a different hotel which was inconveniently located from Schiphol airport.

Slapen in een hotel met voortdurend aankomende en vertrekkende auto's is niet aan te bevelen, zeker niet als je kamer aan de voorkant is!Geen lift aanwezig en geen airco!
