This cosy and quiet hotel offers excellent accommodation in a prime location in the centre of the Art & Design district.

Refurbished in 2004 and surrounded by pleasant restaurants, trendy pubs and art galleries. Major department stores and the market place are within 10 minutes walking distance.

This well-run and affordable hotel was converted from a 1926 apartment building to Hotel Anna in 1985. The small to mid size bedrooms have been comfortably decorated and are fully equipped with modern facilities.

The location made it possible to walk to most of the sights, the
buffet breakfast provided sustenance for the day and the breakfast
room was never crowded. The room was bright and airy and the staff
were most obliging.

As the weather was very warm during my visit it would have been nice to
have air conditioning, or at least a fan to cool things in the evening.

Wireless network was good, although the connnection slowed and cut off after about 20-30 minutes of use.

It would have been nice to have had a cooked breakfast.

Location is pretty good; walking distance to most interesting locations is quite good. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast buffet was extensive.

Considering the high price I paid for the room, the hotel is quite old and worn, and the room interior was rather inconvenient. Helsinki is an expensive city, so I can't complain too much, I suppose.

Friendly staff and good to have a sofa in the room. Quiet and was not disturbed by street noise. Good breakfast selections

Like most Nordic hotels, they are relatively expensive but you do get fair quality which cannot be said about British hotels
