Built in Baroque style in 1767, The Château has been lovingly restored and transformed into luxurious accommodation, once again ready to accept nobility and the discerning traveller.

With Habsburg period furniture, Venetian crystal chandeliers, antique mirrors, and decorated with silks from the East, The Château provides truly beautiful accommodation reminiscent of a bygone era of luxury travel.

The restoration is now complete and the hotel is open and ready to receive discerning guests.

The landscaped, traditional Baroque style terraces feature breathtaking views of Šalgovce's rolling countryside, picturesque hills and the vineyard.

The beauty salon, with its beautiful vaulted ceiling, offers a range of indulgent Dead Sea treatments, as well as the unique revitalising Vino Vie™ therapies using grapes from the resident vineyard, locally found volcanic mud and mineral waters from the natural spring, together with other special ingredients.

Food & beverage

The Château's historic chapel, with its domed 10m (30') ceiling, adorned with frescos dating from the 18th century, is the beautiful and unique setting for The Château's Altar restaurant, a shrine to fine dining.

The Altar Restaurant offers a fusion of the best of French and Slovak cuisine, and of course fine wines.

Room information

The Château's guest suites and bedrooms offer exquisite accommodation for the most discerning client, with French sleigh beds, coronets and silk canopies, chaise lounges and writing bureaux, Baroque plasterwork, crystal chandeliers and lamps, slipper baths and even a room with its own private sauna.

All rooms come complete with broadband access, lcd television and dvd player. Many of The Château's rooms have beautiful original vaulted ceilings.

Area information

Located in the ancient village of Šalgovce in western Slovakia, The Château truly is in the heart of Europe, being only 45 minutes from Slovakia's picturesque capital, Bratislava and only 90 minutes from the most beautiful and vibrant European cities of Vienna and Budapest.

The Château is also only 11 km (7 miles) from the world famous spa, and volcanic mud and mineral bathing town, of Pieštany.

The staff were friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for
them.

Ther could have been a minibar or tea and coffee making facilities in
the room. It was very hpt when we were there and a fan in the room
wou;ld have been good.

The reception staff (Jana).

Where do I begin...The hotel is not finished (not mentioned on the
Booking.com site). The decor is in a style that can only be described as
pretentious and somewhat 'confused'. There is no one to help the guests
with their luggage (a man, who was described by Jana as temporary help,
unlocked the front door for us, stared a lot, but made no attempt to
help us carry ~six pieces of luggage)!

It's a pitty I stayed at The Chateau only for 1 night, but enjoyed it every second of it! The ambience was real castle like, made me feel like a princess, especially with warm, friendly and professional attitude of the owners! Looking forward to the opportunity of returning to The Chateau.

Habe 140 Euro vor Ort bezahlt , obwohl ich per Visa schon geld übermittelt wurde. "2 x den Hotel schon gemailt , um rücküberweisung , keine Antwort.
